What will our campsite include?
Your site will come complete with water and sewer, 30 amp electric service, a barbeque grill, fire ring, and picnic table. Telephone connection is available at your cost. Back to Top

What area amenities are offered?
Shade Acres is just minutes from a very large IGA grocery store, Wal-Mart, fast food, fine dining, wineries, and Laundromat. If you are interested in big city shopping, Shade Acres is centrally located between Toledo and Cleveland, with travel time being about an hour to either city. Back to Top

Can we bring our boat?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your boat. Shade Acres is only about five minutes from the Catawba State Park with a public boat ramp right into Lake Erie. Back to Top

Do we both have to work 20 hours?
No, as long as you work a total of 20 hours per week between the two of you, you will be fulfilling your obligations under our Workamper® Program. Back to Top

Can we work together?
Maybe. Although we normally schedule husbands and wives to the same working hours, you may or may not be working side by side. That will depend on your individual area of expertise as well as on the campground's needs at any given time. Back to Top

What will I be doing?
We have found that Workampers® are happiest and most productive when they are busy working at those jobs most suited to their skills and talents. We will make every effort to assign you to activities that fit your individual area of expertise. There will be occasions, however, when you will be asked to work outside your area of expertise depending on what needs to be done at the campground that day. Back to Top

What is our minimum time commitment to be Workampers®?
You may stay with us for as little as a month (30 days). Back to Top

What is our maximum time commitment to be Workampers®?
The maximum length of your working stay at Shade Acres is six months. Back to Top

Can you guarantee us 20 hours of work per week?
Guarantees are hard to come by! But, everyone generally gets all of the hours they want. In fact, we frequently run out of people before we run out of work. Back to Top

How much will we be paid?
$ 6.85 for hours worked above the 20 hours per week for your site Back to Top

How often will we be paid?
You'll receive a paycheck every 2 weeks Back to Top

Can you pay us in cash?
Absolutely not. You will receive a Shade Acres paycheck on a scheduled basis in the same manner as our other employees. Back to Top
